Iceridere Valley, underground City - Here you will find an unexcavated underground city, with cave potato and apple storage areas which still needs to be explored and discovered. Today one will still find villagers living in the cave houses. There are plenty of springs which can be found with sparkling water. If you walk on the long path for seven kilometers you will find the Golgoli Ruins and Damsa Dam Lake.
Kaymakli - Which is a underground city use to be home to Christians fleeing persecution, here they lived for months at a time undetected. Airshafts were carved as deep as 300 feet into the rock and laterally made holes at different levels in all directions. Kaymakli is known to be 8 stories. Here you will find an elaborate system of staircases and tunnels which connect all the layers to the surface. Dwellings, bathrooms and kitchens, storage rooms, dining halls, wine cellars, chapels and schools were dug where they housed 3 000 people.
Hot air balloon ride - Can only be done weather permitting. Experience a breathtaking view where you can see the beautiful sunrise over Cappadocia. Do bring your camera along so you can take pictures of the magnificent view. You can also enjoy a champagne breakfast upon landing. |

| The locals enjoy "mant" which is a Turkish Tortellini with soy. The beverage which they enjoy is aniseed spirit raki. The locals really enjoy seafood. Their meat dishes includes spiced dried beef pastirma, skewers of flat kofte which is another name used for meatballs and flaky squares of su boregi which is a pastry topped with pieces of donar kebab and sliced lamb on the spit. Another local favourite is sea bass baked with butter in parchment. |

Situated within the old town of Avanos where the historic and old houses stand. The restaurant was restored and was divided into for sections so that each section has a different atmosphere. Each section has its own name which indicates its structure within the restaurant.
The names are "Cave Entrance", "Cave Wine Cellar", "Stone Arch Room" and the "Closed Terrace" . Each section of the restaurant has its own seating plan, which includes traditional seating by using lowered tables and hand-made cushions even modern tables and chairs. The restaurant is open all year and has a seating capacity of 130 during the summer season and 100 during the winter season. |

| Learn about the local handcrafts at a demonstration. Pottery has been made in the Avanos areas for several centuries. Avanos pots are beautiful and make excellent souvenirs. They are available at various prices. The souvenirs which you will find are ashtrays, mugs, chess sets and ornate plates. Enjoy shopping for clothes a the various clothing shops or you can enjoy yourself by shopping for spices to make succulent food dishes. If you lucky enough you might even be able to bargain for a beautiful carpet made by the Avanos people. |
