ZERMATT ATTRACTIONS Add your favourite attraction
Alpine Museum - Hauptstrasse, in the centre of town. This museum is a great place to begin sightseeing in Zermatt. The museum houses a range of exhibitions on the history of the Alps, as well as artifacts discovered near Zermatt from prehistoric and Roman times.

Wintersports - Zermatt is one of the top skiing destinations in the Swiss Alps. On offer are a wide range of wintersports, including skiing; snowboarding; cross country skiing; and many more. There are also qualified instructors that will assist any beginners with anything they need.

Gorner Gorge - Located near Zermatt. There are a number of walking and rock climbing paths available at the Gorner Gorge. There are also guided tours on offer for those who feel they need some assistance to get around. Visiting the gorge is highly recommended as the views ar absolutely breathtaking.

ZERMATT RESTAURANTS Add your favourite restaurant
Findlerhof - just out of town. This is the best mountain restaurant near Zermatt, and is very popular with tourists and locals alike. They serve a wide range of Austrian; German; and Swiss cuisine, as well as some Italian favourites. This restaurant is highly recommended.

Grillroom Stockhorn - Riedstrasse. This is one of the best restaurants in town that is not located in a hotel. The restaurant is very popular with locals and tourists alike, and is owned by Emil Julen. They serve a wide range of German and Swiss dishes, as well as some Italian favourites.

Arvenstube - In the Hotel Pollux, Bahnhofstrasse. This is another one of the excellent restaurants found all over town. The restaurant is very popular with tourists, and is a great place to go for dinner. They serve a wide range of Swiss and International cuisine. Some of the house specialities include assiette valaisanne; riz Casimir, tournedos in a savory-mustard sauce; and sliced veal in a mushroom-cream sauce.

ZERMATT BARS & CLUBS Add your favourite bar & club
Elsie's Place - Kirchplatz. This is one of the most popular bars in town, and is housed in an old building that dates back to 1879. It starts getting busy at around 18h00 when skiers return from the slopes for some of Esie's famous Irish coffee. This is a great place to relax, have a few drinks and meet some new people.

Grampy's Pub - Bahnhofstrasse. This is the most fun and lively bar in town, and is very popular with a mixed crowd of locals and tourists. This is a great place to go if you're looking to have a fun night out, while having a few drinks and meeting some new people.

Hotel Post - This is the entertaiment venue in Zermatt, and it houses a number of different bars and clubs. Some of the most popular in the complex include the Jazz Bar, a great place for jazz lovers to enjoy some good music and drinks; Le Village, Zermatt's best disco; Broken Bar, the place where hardened skiiers got to listen to hard rock; and Bron Cow, a more relaxed bar for the older folk.

ZERMATT SHOPPING Add your favourite attraction
Zermatt offers it's visitors a range of shopping opportunities. If you're looking for some souvenirs to take home, the best place to go is Haus der Geschenke on Bahnhofstrasse and WEGA on Bahnhofplatz. Both these outlets sell a wide range of local arts and crafts, as well as a range of other items made in Switzerland. Most of the shopping takes place on the town's main street, Bahnhofstrasse, with a wide range of stores lining the street.
