Museo de la Historia de Tenerife - Located in La Laguna on one of the old main streets, this magnificent museum was once the home of the well to do Lucero family. Beautifully restored, this line of elegant 16th century houses, Caso Lecaro, is now home to maps and documents, and items of historical interest to the town, Tenerife, the Lecaro family, and all the players in the shaping of the islands fortunes.
Parque Nacional Las Canadas del Teide - This park that surrounds Mount Teide, an active volcano, is the site of weird and wonderful rock formations, and spectacular landscapes and scenery. Mount Teide has the highest peak in Spain.
Playa de Las Americas and Los Cristianos - That anyone had the foresight and imagination to turn this rocky and arid area in the commercial haven for package tourists is in itself a wonder. Be that as it may, Playa de Las Americas and Los Cristianos is a densely built up hotel land, and daily thousands of sun seekers emerge from their luxurious rented rooms and crowd the beaches, grabbing every last ray from the sun that beams down about 320 days of the year.
La Gomera - Lying 28 km off the coast of Tenerife, this tiny island has a timeless, almost forgotten feel to it. Not that it minds, though. With deep ravines and lush laurel forests, and the greenest landscape of any of the islands, it is doing very well on its own. Adding to its laid back charm is its sparse human inhabitation.

Domasa II, Although still located in the same place as it always has been Casa Neke has been given a face lift and made into an up to the minute establishment without losing its cozy feel. Its menu changes daily and it prides itself on serving meals only made with the freshest of ingredients bought from the morning markets.
Casa Regulo - C/ Perez Zamora, 16, Located in Puerto de la Cruz historic district and housed in beautiful Canarian house, serves a menu of fine international dishes ranging over seafood to grilled steak, all complimented with an excellent selection of wines.
Il Pappagallo - Avda. Richard J. Yeoward, 1. If the food served to you is so unbelievably good, that you can't believe it is created by mere mortals, then you can check out the preparation of it through the wide windows behind which the chefs work on full view of their clients. This restaurant is part of the Hotel Botanico group and excellence is only the starting point of their cuisine, from there it only gets better.
Casa del Vino La Baranda - Autopista Gral. del Norte. Specializing in traditional island cuisine, and on the lookout for new creative dishes Canarian dishes, this restaurant offers tempting and tantalising fare from fresh local produce. The wines offered in the restaurant are exclusively from the five wine denominations of Tenerife. Set on an old Canarian farmstead from the 17th century the rustic decor is one of peace and tranquility

Playa de Las Americas - This is the most famous of the Canary Islands beaches and packed with jetsetters from every corner of the globe, as well as busloads of package tourists. Playa de Las Americas is a sun seekers haven with many small beaches to choose from.
Playa Jardin - Awarded the European Blue Flag, this man-made beach is close to Loro Park, and as with the Play Martianez was planned by the artist Cesar Manrique. Playa Jardin is a child friendly beach and with the cascade where they can splash about and cool down, the only problem parents should have is getting the kids home at night.
Playa de las Teresitas - Four million sacks of golden sand were brought in from the ancient Sahara province of Spain to make this perfect beach. With palm trees for shade, and a few bars and restaurants for refreshment it the most popular beach on the island.
Los Cristianos - Seeing the hordes of holidaymakers cavorting in the sea and sand of this popular tourist spot, it is difficult to remember it used to be a simple fishing village. One of its beaches, 400 metres long and 100 metres wide, is particularly popular with families as it so safe for children.

Being a partly tax free area, Tenerife, along with the other Canary Islands, sells tobacco, spirits and perfumes cheaper than most EU countries, as a result travelers returning from the Canary Islands are regarded as outside the European Union by the customs officials.
In the shops the electronic goods are cheap, and widely available in every brand, shape, or form. Mobile phones are particularly cheap, as well as car stereos and cameras. Watches are also available in vast array and at bargain prices.
