The Citadel - This impressive pentagonal fortification was built in the 16th century to protect the city, and was so effective in repelling enemy advances, that not even the great Napoleon could breach its walls. Today the building is put more peaceful purpose and is used for exhibitions and concert.
Museo de Navarra - This museum houses some beautifully preserved 4th and 5th century Roman mosaics, as well as a good collection of paintings from the 14th to the 20th century. Included in the collection is Goya's portrait of the Marques de San Adrian. |
