Monte Toro - Just out of town. This is one of the most famous attractions on Minorca. Monte Toro is the tallest mountain on the island, reaching a hight of 355m. At the summit of Monte Toro there is a sanctuary that has amazing views of the island and a small church, which contains the image of the Virgin Mare de Deu d'el Toro, who is the island's patron saint.
Beach - One of Es Mercadal's main attractions is the beautiful white sand beach that surrounds the edge of the town. This is a great place to go and have some fun in the sun and surf, or just sit back and relax, while catching some sun. There are also a number of cafes found at the beachfront that offer a wide range of refreshements on the hot summer days.
Esglesia de Santa María la Major - Placa Constitucio, Mahon. This church, located in Mahon near Es Mercadal, is one of the most famous tourist attractions on Minorca. The Gothic church dates back to 1287 and was built by the Christian conqueror Alfonso III in order to celebrate the Reconquest. The church contains a celebrated organ with four keyboards and more than 3,000 pipes, which was constructed in 1810 by Johan Kyburz. |

Ca N'Olga - Pont Na Macarrana. This elegant and stylish estaurants is one of the best in town and is very popular with locals and tourists alike. It is housed in a traditional white-stucco Minorcan house that is over 150 years old. They serve a wide range of traditional Minorcan and Spanish food, as well as a variety of international dishes.
Molí d'es Reco - Es Mercadal. This is another one of the best restaurants in town and it is easly found, located next to a 300 year old windmill. The restaurant is very popular with locals and tourists alike, especially for dinner. They serve a wide range of the bes Minorcan food in town, and is the place to go for an unforgettable dining experience.
Sa Placa - Carrer d'Enmig. This family run bistro and cafeteria is oneo f the most popular places where locals go to have a good meal and catch up on some gossip. They serve a wide range of traditional Minorcan and Spanish dishes at reasonable prices. This is a great place to go for an excellent meal while mingling with the locals. |

La Cova d'en Xoroi - just out of town. This is the place to go if you're looking to have a fun night out. Here you'll find a number of bars located in the caves within a sheer cliff face rising from the sea. This is one of the most popular places for tourists and locals alike. You can sit back, relax and have a few drinks, or have a party till the early hours of the night.
Suc Pub - In the centre of town. This is one of the best pubs in town and is very popular with locals and tourists alike. The pub is the place to go if you're looking to have a fun night out on the town. Here you can sit back, have a few drinks and mingle with the locals. You can also dance to some Spanish music on the dancefloor, the pub also hosts live music over the weekend. |
