CORDOBA ATTRACTIONS Add your favourite attraction
Mezquita-Catedral de Cordoba - Torrijos and Calle Cardenal Herrero. This is one of the most famous Muslim architectural achievements in the West, and it dates back to the 8th century. There is also a 16th century baroque cathedral located in the middle of the mosque. The most interesting feature of the Mezquita is the mihrab, a shrine of Byzantine mosaics..

Palacio Museo de Viana - Plaza de Don Gome 2. This is one of the only palaces in Cordoba that allows public access. Here you can take a look at the carriage house, which contain carriages that date back to the period of the Reconquest. You can also take a relaxing stroll through the gardens and patios of the palace..

Museo Arqueologico Provincial - Plaza Jeronimo Paez 7. This is one of the most important archaeological museums in Spain and is housed in a palace that dates back to 1505. The museum exhibits artefacts left behind by all the different people and conquerors who have been through the province. Items on display include Paleolithic and Neolithic items; Iberian hand weapons and ceramics, and Roman sculptures; bronzes; ceramics; inscriptions; and mosaics.

Casa Pepe de la Juderia - Calle Romero 1. This is one of the beast restaurants in town, and is very popular with locals and tourists alike. The restaurant consists of a series of rooms that are decorated in a typical Andalusion style. They serve a wide range of traditional Andalusion dishes. This is a great place to go and sample some of the local cuisine.

El Caballo Rojo - Cardinal Herrero 28. This is one of the most popular restaurants in the old town and it is frequented by both locals and tourists. They serve a wide range of traditional Andalusion dishes, including Sephardic and Mozarabic specialties. This restaurant is highly recommended to all visitors to the city.

La Almudaina - Plaza de los Santos Martires 1. This historic restaurant is housed in a restored 15th century palac, and is with out a doubt the best restaurant in town. The restaurant is very popular with both locals and tourists. They serve a wide range of traditional Andalusion dishes, along with some other Spanish favourites.

CORDOBA BARS & CLUBS Add your favourite bar & club
Casa Pepe – Calle Romero 1. This tapas bar is one of the best in the old town, and has been popular with locals for many years. This is a great place to chill out, have a few drinks and make a whole lot of new friends. It’s a great spot for the early afternoon or night, and is always filled with locals.

Bar El Juramento – Calle Juramento 6. This old-fashioned and cozy bar has been a hit with locals and tourists for many years. It is a great place to go for a fun evening out, while having a few drinks and mixing with the locals and fellow tourists.

El Cardenal – Calle Torijos 10. This is the best flamenco club in town, and is very popular with a mixed crowd of locals and tourists. There are shows everynight from Monday to Saturday, starting at 22h30. This is a great place to have a real Andalusion experience.

CORDOBA PARKS & GARDENS Add your favourite park & garden
Parque Natural de la Sierra de Hornachuelos - The park is situated in the heart of Cardoba. The park features a very rich and varied vegetation, such as mastic trees, strawberry trees, rock roses and kermes oaks. There is also a great selection of bird life to be seen, such as griffon vulture, black vulture, Egyptian vulture and Bonelli's eagle.

Parque Natural de las Sierras Subbeticas de Cordoba - The nature park offers hours of entertainment for the entire family. Visitors can relax in the shade under the beauty of the willow and alder trees. There is also a selection of strawberry and holm oak trees in the reserve. This is truly a birdwatchers paradise, featuring some of the great birds of prey such as the griffon vulture, Egyptian vulture, peregrine falcon and sparrowhawk. There is also a large range of reptiles to be seen, which includes the long-tailed lizard.

CORDOBA SHOPPING Add your favourite attraction
Cordoba was famous for its leather workers in Moorish times. In the 15th century it was very valuable, the leather was studded with gold and silver ornaments, and painted with embossed designs.

If you’re looking to get some of these types of leathers and other Cordoban handicrafts, the place to go is Artesanía Andaluza - Tomas Conde 3. The shop offers a wide range of handicrafts, especially filigree silver from the mines of Sierra Morena and some brilliantly crafted embossed leather.
