Parque Natural de la Sierra de Hornachuelos - The park is situated in the heart of Cardoba. The park features a very rich and varied vegetation, such as mastic trees, strawberry trees, rock roses and kermes oaks. There is also a great selection of bird life to be seen, such as griffon vulture, black vulture, Egyptian vulture and Bonelli's eagle.
Parque Natural de las Sierras Subbeticas de Cordoba - The nature park offers hours of entertainment for the entire family. Visitors can relax in the shade under the beauty of the willow and alder trees. There is also a selection of strawberry and holm oak trees in the reserve. This is truly a birdwatchers paradise, featuring some of the great birds of prey such as the griffon vulture, Egyptian vulture, peregrine falcon and sparrowhawk. There is also a large range of reptiles to be seen, which includes the long-tailed lizard. |

Cordoba was famous for its leather workers in Moorish times. In the 15th century it was very valuable, the leather was studded with gold and silver ornaments, and painted with embossed designs.
