Duomo - Piazza del Duomo, Sorrento. The fortress cathedral was built in 1400 on the ruins of a church from the middle ages. The cathedral has a Latin cross plan and a trio of aisles. The nave hass six pink marble monolithic columns, which support it. The nave's ceiling of the wooden beams are held up by carved corbels decorated with Arabian scenes. This is a sight not to be missed by any visitor to the town.
Museo Archeologico di Taormina - Located in the Palazzo Badia Vecchia. This museum is located on the site of the ruins of ancient Roman baths. The exhibitions on display here include numerous archeological artifacts discovered during excavations in and around the town. This is a great place to learn about the history of the town and surrounding region.
Greek Amphitheater - Via del Teatro Greco. This is possibly the most popular of all the attractions in Taormina. The remains found here date back to the 2nd century A.D. The Amphitheater also offers an oustanding view of Mount Etna and the seacoast. The Greek theater is the site of the annual Taormina film festival, which attracts hundreds of travellers from all over the world. |

Ristorante La Griglia - Corso Umberto I 54, Sorrento. This is one of the newest restaurants and is located within the stone walls of what used to be a private palazzo in the 1600s. They serve a range of excellent local dishes. The food is excellent and the prices are very reasonable.
Granduca - orso Umberto I 172. This restaurant is very popular with locals an tourists alike. There is seating in the garden with amazing views of the coast. They serve an excellent range of delicious local dishes and offer an great selection of local and Italian wines.
Club Septimo - Via San Pancrazio 50. This excellent restaurant has amazing views of Taormina, Spisone Bay and the Ionian Sea. The restaurant is located in one of the most beautiful spots in Taormina, with large terraces and age-old trees. They serve an great range of classic and modern cuisine and the prices are very reasonable. |

Club Septimo - Via San Pancrazio 50. This is one of the top disco clubs in town and is popular with tourists under 40. Fashion shows and other gala events are regularly held here. DJs play a mix of all the latest dance and pop hits. This is a great place to go if you're loooking to dance and party right through the night.
Bar San Giorgio - Via Porta Mola 9. This bar is one of the best on the main square, with a relaxed cafe downstairs and a lively bar upstairs. It is very popular amongst locals and tourists, and is a great place to go and relax, have a few drinks and meet some of the locals.
Mocambo Bar - Piazza IX Aprile 8. This is one of the most popular outdoor bars in Taormina, and is frequented by locals and tourists of all ages. In winter you can sit inside, but if the weather allows sitting outside is the way to go. This is a great place to go and meet people while having a few drinks and enjoying the sea views.. |

| Letojanni - This beach is located just out of Spisone, with some lovely white sand beaches. There are a few bars, shops and restaurants found on the beachfront. This is a great place to go and relax, while catching some sun and taking a breaking from the busier pace in Spisone. |
