ROME ATTRACTIONS Add your favourite attraction
Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore - Piazza di Santa Maria Maggiore. This amazing church was built by Pope Liberius in A.D. 358 and rebuilt by Pope Sixtus III from 432 to 440. The basilica is famous for the 5th century Roman mosaics in its nave, and its coffered ceiling, gilded with gold brought from the New World. There are many things to see at the church and it is one of the most important attractions of Rome.

Baths of Caracalla - Via delle Terme di Caracalla 52. These baths, completed in the 3rd century, were named after the emperor Caracalla. During it's heyday it covered 27 acres and could handle 1,600 bathers at a time. This is an amazing sight to see, and is not to be missed.

National Museum in Palazzo Venezia - Via del Plebiscito 118. The museum houses collections of oil paintings; porcelain; tapestries; ivories; and ceramics. The State Rooms occasionally open to host temporary exhibits. There is a lot to see here, from the architecture to the interesting exhibits.

ROME RESTAURANTS Add your favourite restaurant
Al 16 - Via del Portico d'Ottavia 16. This restaurant is the place to go if you're looking to sample some traditional homemade local food. It is very popular with locals and tourists alike. They serve a range of excellent local dishes, and the manu changes with the seasons. This is a great place to start off you're experience of Rome.

Abruzzi - Via del Vaccaro 1. This is one of the most popular restaurants in Rome, and serves excellent food at reasonable prices. On the menu is a wide range of regional cuisine, including vitella tonnata con capperi and stracciatella. This restaurant is popular with locals and tourists, once you've been there, you'll keep comming back.

Buccilli Hostaria - Via dei Due Ponti 48. This traditional trattoria has a warm and friendly family atmosphere. They serve a range of traditional Roman dishes; fish dishes; and seasonal game and Porcini dishes. The food is excellent and the prices are reasonable.

Druid's Den - Via San Martino ai Monti 28. This Irish pub is popular with locals and tourists alike. This is a great place to go and down a couple of pints, talk a whole lot of nonsense and meet some new people. They serve a wide range of beers, wines and spirits.

Il Goccetto - Via dei Banchi Vecchi 14. This wine bar serves a range of excellent French and Italian wines, sold by the glass or bottle. It is very popular and attracts a mixed crowd of locals and tourists. This is a great place to go and relax, while tasting some exquisite wines.

Club Picasso - Via Monte di Testaccio 63. This lively dance club is one of the best in Rome, and is very popular with a mixed crowd of locals and tourists. There's a DJ that plays a wide range of music, from disco to the latest dance hits. This is the place to go if you're looking to meet new people and dance till the early hours of the morning.

ROME PARKS & GARDENS Add your favourite park & garden
Parco Appio Claudio - Via Lemonia. This park situated between Via Appia Nuova and Via Tuscolana, is an excellent place to take a break from the city. The park is surrounded by the remains of three aqueducts: the Marcius aqueduct dating back to 140 B.C.; the Claudius aqueduct from 52 A.D.; and the Felice aqueduct from 1500 A.D. You can take a relaxing stroll and admire the amazing structures.

ROME CHILDREN'S ACTIVITIES Add your favourite children's spot
LunEur - Via delle Tre Fontane. This is Rome's largest fairground and was opened 30 years ago. There is much on offer, including a ferris wheel that offers great views over the whole area; a roller coaster; a haunted house; and much more. There is something for everyone, the whole family will have a great time.

Villa Borghese Junior - Piazzale Flaminio. this park was designed for children, and they will have a great day out at this park. You can hire bicycles and cycle down the paths; take a train that is pulled along by ponies; or hire pedal boats to explore the rivers, and there is a cinema for children.
