Museo Archeologico Regionale - Via Bara all'Olivella 24. This is one of the best museums in Italy, and is filled with artifacts from prehistoric times until the Roman era. The museum's collection includes major Sicilian finds from the Phoenician; Punic; Greek; Roman;, and Saracen periods, with several treasures from Egypt. There is a whole lot to discover throughout the museum and it will take you a few hours to get through it all.

Cappella Palatina - Palazzo dei Normanni. This church is one of the most famous sights in Palermo, and was built in 1130inside the Norman Palace. This symbol of political and cultural union by the Normans is covered in dazzling Byzantine mosaics. This is a sight not to be missed.

Chiesa di San Cataldo - Piazza Bellini 3. this church was built during the Norman period in 1160, and has three red Arabian domes on top. The interior is bare and suggestive, its rectangular structure is divided into a nave and two aisles by six columns. The church is the current seat of the order of the Holy Sepulchre.

Antico Caffe Spiannato - Via Principe di Belmonte 115. This cafe, established in 1860, is one of the best in Palermo, and is very popular with locals and tourists alike. They serve a wide range of traditional local light meals and pastries. This is a great place to go for lunch or a quick bite to eat. the food is excellent and the prices are very reasonable.

Al Pagliaio - Via Principe di Palagonia 4a. This family run pizzeria and trattoria is one of the best places to go for some good homemade local dishes. They serve a range of excellent pizzas and pasta dishes. This restaurant is very popular with locals and tourists, so you should arrive early.

Cin-Cin - Via Manin 22. This is one of the most popular restaurants with the locals of Palermo, with its warm and friendly atmosphere. They serve a range of traditional local dishes, some of the recipes have been going since the 19th century. This is the place to go to sample some of the finest local cuisine.

Villa Niscemi - Piazza Niscemi 55. This historic pub is very popular with locals and tourists alike. It is decorated like an English pub, with wooden benches; tables; and a range of pub games. They serve an excellent selection of beers and cocktails, with some light meals if you're feeling a bit hungry.

Agricantus - Via XX Settembre 82. This pub is one of the most interesting in town, and attracts a mixed crowd of locals and tourists. It has three different areas: a pub; a stage for theatrical performances and concerts; and an area for displays and exhibitions. This is a great place to go for a very fun and interesting night out.

Malox - Piazzetta della Canna 8-9. This pub is one of the best in town, and is very popular with locals and tourists. The atmosphere is very informal and friendly. From time to time there are live music performances and film screenings. They have a great selection of beers; wine; cocktails; and spirits.

PALERMO PARKS & GARDENS Add your favourite park & garden
Orto Botanico - Via Abramo Lincoln 2B. This is one of the best and most popular parks in Palermo. The garden was created in 1795 by Filippo Parlatore, and has an amazing 150 year old banyan tree. This is a good place to go and relax, taking a quiet stroll through all the beautiful trees and plants.

Giardino Garibaldi - Located at Piazza Marina. This beautiful garden in the heart of Palermo is an awsome place to go and relax, getting away from the hectic pace of city life. The park is filled with a wide range of plants and trees, and there are many avenues to explore.
