Castle Scaligero - This is the best place to start you visit to Malcesine, with its amazing views of the lake and the medieval village. It has medieval origins and is one of the most important architectural sights in Verona province. The Museo Pariani is housed in the castle's tower and contains a collection of archeological artifacts, weapons and a historical section about the transport of ships between Venice and Lake Garda.
Church of Santa Maria della Fontana - Located in the historical centre of town. This medieval church is a sight not to be missed, with some of the most beautiful architecture in Malcesine. There are guided tours of the church every day and are well worth attending.
Monte Baldo - From Malcesine you can take a cable car ride up to Tratto Spino, an elevation of 1780 m. This is one of the most popular things to do in town, the ride offers the most amazing views of town and the surrounding landscape. Once at Monte Baldo there are a number of trails to follow and it is an easy walk up to the summit of the mountain. |

Vecchia Malcesine - Via Pisort 6. This is one of the best restaurants in town, with Lake Garda as its backdrop. They serve a wide range of excellent local dishes, including taglioni with finferli mushrooms and speck ham; farfalle with courgettes and scampi; and lucioperca alla gardesana. This is a great place to sample some of the local cuisine.
La Pace - Via Casella 1. This is another excellent restaurant in Malcesine and is very popular with locals and tourists alike. They serve a wide range of regional and local dishes, and have an excellent selection of Italian wines. The food is great and the prices are reasonable.
Pizzeria Da Gigi - Via Gardesano Centro. This is the place to go if you're looking to have some of the best wood fired pizzas in Lake Garda. They serve a wide range of pizzas, specializing in local variations of classic Italian recipes. This is a great place to go for lunch or a light supper. The prices are very reasonable. |

Re Lear is situated in the heart of Malcesines old town, just a few steps away from Castello Scaligero. The rooms inside offer an elegant atmosphere whereas the terracce in Piazza Cavour is more casual.
Re Lear offers a menu a la carte as well as monthly changing menus to taste various specialities on the basis of fish or meat. Vegetarian meals are served on demand, pasta and bread are homemade.

It closed after the death of the much respected manager and has re-opened May 2007. The food is out of this world, if you want something from their range of pizzas, classic Italian recipes or like me something without fish they will do their best to accommodate you they always use the freshest of ingredients to tempt your pallet. This is the place to go for anything from lunch to celebratory dinner to light suppers all are treated the same. The service is unobtrusive but at the same time attentitative and there is prices to fit everyone’s pocket. Give them a try. |

Corsaro - Via Piana 2. This is one of the most happening and most popular disco in town. It is frequented by a mixed crowd of locals and tourists, and is a great place to go and dance all night, while meeting some new people. DJs play a wide range of international dance music, catering to all tastes.
Flipper House - Statale 11, just out of town. This is another excellent disco, which is very popular with a younger crowd of locals. This is the club to see and be seen in, with great music and a party atmosphere, you can keep dancing till the sun comes up. |

Parco Natura Viva - Located near Pastrengo on the hills of Lake Garda. This beautiful park was founded in 1969 and covers more than 40 hectares of land. The park consists of 4 thematic areas, a Fauna Park; a Safari Park; a Botanical Route; and a Dinosaurs' Park. This is a great place for the family to have an unforgetable day out amongst nature, and should not be missed when in the region.
