Old Fortress – Dating from the 14Th century and built as a solid protection for the island, blown up by the British forces in 1864, which in turn left the island to the Greeks. Recently restored and encompassing a gallery, museum and still operating bell tower.
Byzantine Museum – Located in a 15Th century church. Many painters of the time stopped in Corfu en – route to Venice, this museum houses a fascinating collection of their sculpture and art.
Palace of Saint Michael and Saint George – Commissioned by Sir Thomas Maitland the former Lord High Commisioner for the headquarters of the Ionian Parliament and himself. Strolling through the lovely gardens one will find The Museum of Asian Art and a contemporary art gallery featuring works by local artists. |

Restaurant Antranik – Arseniou 21, splendid water front views to be enjoyed from this old established eatery. Antranik serves Greek cuisine in a sheek environment.
Faliraki Restaurant – A family destination right on the beach on the corner of Kapodistriou and Arseniou Streets. Down to earth Greek food and friendly service in a relaxed atmosphere.
Art Cafe – Set in the gardens behind the palace and popular with youngsters, but not loud. Relax with a coffee and pastry in the shade. Reasonable prices.
Restaurant Rex – Kapodistriou 66, Well known as being one of the best on the island. A tad pricey, but worth splashing out once in a while for the mouth watering Greek specialties. |

Coca Club – In the nightlife area at the waterfront on Antistaseos, lies this ritzy club. Well known local and international DJs will take you to the wee hours with a mix of the latest hits and oldies.
Hippodrome – Also in the same area, this large imaginative disco in the style of an ancient temple. The sounds are loud and proud where techno rules. If your head needs banging, this will get it going.
Lumberjacks – Situated at Ipsos, everyone knows this bar/disco, great selection of beverages, including cocktails. The DJs make sure you have the time of your life. Note-you will enjoy the unusual decor.

Agio Georgios – About 30 km south of Corfu Town, lies one of the islands most beautiful beaches of about 5 km of pristine sand surrounded by green hills and as yet unspoilt.
Glyfada – A popular family beach 16 km west of the capital, this beach has plenty of facilities and perfect for swimming and snorkelers will discover the rock formations in the sea.
Palaiokastritsa – A lovely village 26 km North West of Corfu Town you will find 6 separate villages here all with stunning scenery and surrounded by forests of olive trees. Plenty of shady tavernas for a cool drink or snack.
