Mannheim University and Castle - This is a unique destination as the University is housed in Mannheim Castle. Built in 1760 and one of the largest castles in Germany. It is undergoing construction work, and when completed will be an interesting place to visit.
Jesuit Church - Just next door to the university is this great example of Baroque archetecture. It was extesively damaged during WW2, but the visitor can still sense the history that moved Mozart to praise it's atmosphere.
Luisenpark - Close to the A656 is this restful park. Mannheim being an industrial city is forgotten as you wander through this sanctury. The park has a restaurant, fish pond and lovely flora. At the end of June there is a big music festival here.
The Mannheim Museum of Technology and Work - Just outside Luisenpark and reached by tram No6 from downtown. This fine museum depicts the history of technology and it's considerable influence it has on us. Plenty to learn, do and seee for adults and children.
