BONN ATTRACTIONS Add your favourite attraction
Beethoven House - Bonngasse 20, This is the first stop for most visitors to the city and you can find it just north of the marketplace in the old part. Birthplace of the famous composer in 1770. Many of the composer's personal items are housed here and it's a must see.

Kunstmuseum Bonn - Friedrich-Ebert-Allee 2, Located in a unique triangular building in the heart of the city's museumland. Housing one of the most important art collections on the Rhine. Mostly filled with 20th century works some well known.

House of History of the German Republic - Willy-Brandt-Allee 14, This marvelous museum traces the modern history of Germany from 1945 until the east met the west in 1990. Lots to interest here including wartime written records.

Freibad Romerbad - This is the city park located to the north on the Rhine. Great for long walks and in summer there is a swimming pool complex which includes a wave pool.

BONN RESTAURANTS Add your favourite restaurant
Em Veedel - Step into history at this 300 year old tavern in the market square. Traditional Rhenish cuisine is served here. So come and taste the history and food of Bonn all in one place.

Anno Tubac - Located in the Old town near to Rosental station. This is a restaurant/theatre where you will want to spend the night. Traditional meals are served and the entertainment varies from night to night. How about this for a different night, there is a bowling alley in the basement.

The Balustrade - A great place in the city centre for a relaxing breakfast or brunch. They are very versitile here and the restaurant transforms into an Italian diner at night with music and cocktails added.

Bonner Brasserie - On market Square, this busy restaurant is housed on two floors and the cuisine is Italian, dispite the name. Gets crowded in the summer when they lay the tables on the pedestrianised street. Open from early till late.

BONN BARS & CLUBS Add your favourite bar & club
The Fiddlers - The Endenicharea is where you'll find this extremely popular Irish pub. You will find live Irish folk music and the owner prides himself on his whiskey choice. I just hope the taxman does not take too much notice of the name.

Carpe Noctem - Situated near the main station of the city. This is a party venue that attracts all ages and sizes. Every night is theme night so they try to please everyone, from oldies night to rave nights. Locals mix freely with visitors here.

The Sharon - One of the fashionable clubs in the city centre. The rich and famous get dolled up for a night on the tiles here. The dance area is fairly small and gets crowded, but there is plenty of space to relax and sip on one of their great cocktails.

Em Hottche - Located right in the heart of the city and they will have you believe that this was Beethoven's local (Don't believe them when they say that he watched big screen sport here as it was not invented in his era). Locals and tourists alike enjoy the on tap local beer and they serve tasty food.

Bonn's International Pub - by Raymond Searson from Ireland - 2005-06-07
A Little piece of Ireland in the Kulturmeile Bonn, Ice Cold Beer, Great Fish & Chips

BONN SHOPPING Add your favourite attraction
Bad Godesberg - This is the most interesting district of Bonn and a stroll around the centre will find you popping in and out of shops, browsing the market stalls and enjoying a drink at one of the many bars and cafes.

Karstadt - An old favourite in the centre of town. This department store stocks fashion items for men, women and children. They also sell gift items along with the usual array of popular goods.

Kaufhof - You wouldn't be in Bonn without visiting this busy city centre department store. This huge shop stocks just about everything you can imagine. This is a one stop shop for choosing a gift as well as an extensive food department.

Flohmarkt - The largest flea market is held every third Sunday in the summer. Four kilometres of goods people don't want any more often turns up a bargain for the shopper at the right place. You could easily spend the whole day here and miss some stalls.
