Mont Thabor - This is one of the most popular attracions in Valmeinier. From the top of Mont Thabor, 3 178 m, the views are amazing. There are also over 150 kms of walks waiting to be explored. Apart from the views, the fresh mountain air make it a sight not to be missed.
Skiing - Valmeinier is another one of the excellent skiing destinations in the French Alps and is very popular with tourists from all around the world. There are many outdoor activities that you can choose from: skiing; snowboarding; mountaneering; and hiking are just a few on offer.
Guided Tours - These guided tours offered everyday are a must for any tourist to Valmenier. A guide takes you on a journey through the town and surrounding traditional farms, teaching you about the history of the region. The tours are both informative and interesting. |

L'Estaminet - Located at 14 sur le plan de la station. This is one of the best restaurants in town and is popular with the locals and tourists alike. They serve a range of excellent local dishes and have a great selection of French wines. The food is excellent and the prices relatively reasonable.
La Glisse - Located at 1 sur le plan de la station. This is another excellent restaurant and is a must for any tourist who hasn't been here before. They serve a reange of local dishes, as well as some other traditional French dishes. The food is great and the prices are reasonable. |

La Taverne - Located in Valmeinier 1500. This is one of the best pubs in town and is popular with both the locals and tourists. It is a great place to start sampling the nightlife the town has to offer, kick back, have a few drinks and meet some people.
Le P'tit Fourchon - Located in Valmeinier 1800. This is another excellent bar in town, frequented by both locals and tourists. Here you can enjoy a slightly more relaxed evening out, having a few drinks and chatting to some of the locals or fellow tourists.
No Comment - Located in Valmeinier 1800. This is one of the liveliest pubs in town and is very popular with a younger crowd of locals and tourists. It is a great place to go if you're looking to party till the early hours of the morning. The atmosphere is fun and friendly, there are many drinks on offer and the prices are reasonable. |

European Adventure School - This is a place where children from the ages of 7 to 15 can have an absolutly awsome time. They offer courses and daily activities. Some of whats on offer here are: learning to climb; orienteering; hiking; mountain biking; and treasure hunts.
Adventure Park - Located at La Foret de l'Enfer. This amazing adventure park is open to adults and children from the age of 3. This is a place of fun for the whole family, with: obstacle courses; rope bridges; slides; climbing; and much more. The advventure park is not to be missed. |
