Saint-remi Basilica - place du Chanoine Ladame. A romanesque benedictine abbey church altered during the gothic era. Contains Saint Remi' tomb, a collection of 12th century stain-glass windows and Cattiaux great organ, inaugurated in the year 2000.
Cathedrale Notre-Dame de Reims - Place du Cardinal-Lucon. This is one of the world's most famous cathedrals, and was built on the site of a church that burned in 1211. Laden with statuettes, its three western facade portals are spectacular. A rose window above the central portal is dedicated to the Virgin. At the western facade's northern door is a smiling angel.
Salle de Reddition - 12 rue Franklin-D.-Roosevelt. On May 7, 1945, the Germans surrendered to General Eisenhower in this structure, which was once a schoolhouse near the railroad tracks. The walls of the room are lined with maps of the rail routes, exactly as they were on the day of surrender. |

Le Chardonnay - 184 av. d'Epernay. This cozy restaurant serves tradiotnal local cuisine in an old restored building, wiith a beautiful room that overlooks a flowering courtyard. The cuisine is consistent, with sauces often based on a generous use of local wines. Examples include roasted rabbit with foie gras, veal stuffed with truffles and cooked in a clay pot, fricassee of lobster with tarragon vinegar, and nuggets of venison in a red wine-mushroom sauce.
Chateau de Fere - Rte. de Fismes, 02130 Fere-en-Tardenois. Set in a park, this fabulous restaurant occupies a 16th-century chateau with turrets. You can begin your meal in the garden, sipping an aperitif or a glass of champagne with juice from freshly crushed raspberries. They serve a range of delicious local main meals ans mouthwatering deserts.
Boyer-les-Crayeres - 64 bd. Henri-Vasnier. This is one of the best and most popular restaurants in Reim. It serves a range of excellent local dishes, accomponied by a good selection of local wines. World-famous chef Gérard Boyer imbues each dish with his imprint. This is the place to go if you want to treat yourself to something special. |

The Glue Pot - 49 place Drouet-d'Erlon. This bar is very popular with the local student population, and is the place to go if you want to down a few beers, meet some of the locals and have some great conversations. The prices are very reasonable and the bar stays open till late.
Le Tigre - 2 bis av. Georges-Clemenceau. This is one of the most popular dance clubs in Reims and is very popular with the locals and tourists alike. With its decor of old French cars placed like artwork against the brick walls and mirrors, and a great selection of dance music, this is the place to go if you're looking to party all night long.
L'Escalier - 7 rue de Chativesle. If you're looking for a more relaxed night out, this sedate bar is the place to go. It is popular with the locals and tourists alike and is a great place to chill, have a few drinks and meet new people. |

Park de la Patte d'Oie - In the heart of town, at Boulevard du General Leclerc, this historical park was created in the middle of the 18th century and reshaped during the construction of the congress centre in 1994/95. It has fountains, an artificial river, and an area for children games. It's a great place to relax and take a break.
Park Leo Lagrange - Opened in 1976, this is the most important park in the centre of town, at rue Leo lagrange. Spanning 12 ha, with a pond and games for children, and it is close to a swimming pool and ice ring. This is a good park to have a fun day out. |

The main shopping district is located around the cathedral. Nearby streets to browse are the long rue de Vesle, the cours Langlet, and place Drouet d'Erlon. Don't forget to include champagne on your shopping list. you can visit one of the major houses in town, or get in a car and drive along the Routes du Champagne.
Another specialty here is the light and delicious little pink cookie known as biscuit de Reims and the best place to find them is La Maison Fossier/Biscuits Fossier, 25 cours Langlet. |
