Skiing - La Plagne is another one of the outstanding skiing destinations in the French Alps and is very popular with tourists from all around the world. There are many outdoor activities that you can choose from: skiing; snowboarding; mountaneering; and hiking are just a few on offer.
Chapelle Oecumenique - Located at Rue de la gaiete in Plagne Centre. This old Catholic church is one of the must see, non-skiing, activities in La Plagne. There are guided tours of the church everyday and it is well worth the time going on the tour.
Mont Blanc - This towering mountain range on the Italian border with France, it's highest peak measures nearly 16,000 feet, which makes it the second highest mountain in Europe. The views are spectacular and the cable ride up to the top is an adventure. You can also follow some hiking trails or do some mountain climbing. |
