Skiing - Avoriaz is another one of the outstanding skiing destinations in France and is very popular with tourists from all around the world. There are many outdoor activities that you can choose from: skiing; snowboarding; mountaneering; and hiking are just a few on offer.
Portes du Soleil - This is the largest skiing and snowboarding area in the French alps and is the reason why many poeple come to Avoriaz. There are many different slopes to choose from, each of them cater to the varying degree of experience of the skier/snowboarder. |

Le Douchka - Found in the Falaise area, this restaurant serves pizzas as well as a range of local dishes. The food is good and the prices are reasonable. This is a great place to go for lunch, whhile taking a break from all the skiing.
Les Fontaines Blanches - Located in the main street of Avoriaz. This pizzeria and restaurant is very popular with the locals and tourists alike. They serve a range of initeresting pizzas and a host of other Italian and French dishes. The food is great and the prices are reasonable.
Le Brin de Folie - Found at place du Snow, this is one of the best and most popular restaurants in town. They serve a wide range of local dishes, all with a choice from their great selection of French wines. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, the food is great and the prices are reasonable. |

Pub le Choucas - Found at place des Ruches. This is one of the most popular bars in town and is frequented by locals and tourists of all ages. The atmosphere is friendly and warming, this is a great place to chill out; have a few drinks and meet some new people.
Le Festival - Located in the centre of town, this nightclub is very popular with the younger locals over the weekends. They play a range of popular dance music and serve a whole range of drinks. This is a great place to go and party all night long. Entrance is free.
Le Place - Found at place du Snow. This is another one of the popular dance clubs in Avoriaz. It is frequented by a younger local crowd and tourists, it's busiest over the weekend. The drinks are a little more expensive than some of the other clubs, but the atmosphere is great and you'll have an excellent night out on the town. |

The Children Village - Located at Place Centrale. With a fairytale atmosphere and in a marvellous setting, children from 3 to 16 years of age are shown the delights of skiing and become familiarised with the snow. The teaching method used allows children to learn to ski and enjoy themselves at the same time, without any fear and in safe conditions.
Snowboard Village - Found in the heart of the Children Village, children from the ages from 6 to 16 can enjoy evrything there is to enjoy about snowboarding. Here children can make new friends, while learning how to snowboard and having a great time. |
