Museum of Huez and the Oisans - Located at Rte de la Poste. This museum houses various exhibitions abouth Alpe-d'Huez, showing how the mountain went from small village to international ski resort. The ice cave is spectacular. There are many activities and events for children. Entrance is $3 for adults and children under 16 are free.
Notre Dame des Neiges - Found at Chemin de la Chapelle. This church was inaugurated in 1969, it is famous for its architecture; organ in the shape of an outstretched hand; and 13 stained-glass windows from Arcabas. The museum offers guided tours of the church on Tuesdays at 5:30pm.
Associations Alp'Palais Animation et d'Huiz'Arts - Palais des Sports et des Congres, Av. de Brandes. Here you'll find occasional exhibitions of paintings; sculptures; and other visual art throughout the season. For details of themes; dates; and times, take a look at the resort programme of events. Events are arranged by artists from the region on Saturdays; Sundays; and Mondays from 2.30 pm. |

It is very popular with the locals and tourists alike, so come early or make a booking. They serve a range of excellent local dishes and the prices are reasonable.

Smithy's - Located in the centre of town, this restaurant is the best place to go for some Tex-Mex food. The food is great and the prices very reasonable. If you're looking for something that you're a little more used to and are in a bit of a hurry to hit the slopes, this is the place to go. |

Yeti Bar - Found near the centre of town, this is one of the best nightclubs and is very popular with locals and tourists alike. They play all the latest dance music and this is the place to go if you're looking to party all night long, while meeting new people.
Tropicana - This bar, located in the centre of town, is very popular with the younger tourists, It is a great place to go if you're looking for a more relaxed evening out. Sit back, have a few drinks and strike up conversations with some of your fellow tourists.
Igloo - This is another of the top dance clubs in town, and it is very popular with the younger locals and tourists alike. The atmosphere is lively, but friendly and the prices are very reasonable. This is the place to go if you want to let your hair down and boogie. |
