The fourth largest city in Bulgaria and home to a number of colleges and a university, Bourgas offers art and culture for those who are interested in learning a little more about the country of Bulgaria.
The National Flora Exhibition – The variety of colours and odours of the great outdoors is as exciting to the locals as it is for the visitors. This international folklore festival showcasing the best flora of the Balkan countries is well worth a visit, if you happen to be there in early spring.
‘Nature-Man-Harmony’ – Unbelievably, this Latin American International dance contest is held every year in Bourgas. The Bulgarian people have taken to this dance form in a huge way and this contest is guaranteed to be a success for years to come.
Ethnographic Museum – Bourgas – This interesting museum houses traditional costumes, ritual accessories, fabrics and embroidery from years gone by. It is housed in a building built in 1873 and has been declared a cultural monument.

This is the reason to visit Duni. The beach around the bay is clean and safe with 250 sunny days a year it is the ideal place to sit back, relax and get in tune with nature.
The Mandren Lake – South of Bourgas – An important ornithological reserve, surrounded by lovely beeches, with a large bird population in the summer, offers rowing tours and just lazing around.

The resort, built around the bay is hilly and forested just behind the dunes and strewn with small holiday cottages.
Migratory birds stop close to Alepou Bay on their route south every year. The unique ecological environment is testament to the fact that this is indeed a wonderful place to visit.
Pelican and Panorama – Two out of the three zones situated within the village are built within natural parks, surrounded by trees, manicured gardens and tranquillity.
The Otmanli Park – Outside Bourgas - Comprising of 6000 hectares of thick forest, the walking and cycling trails take you deep into this lush vegetation. Hunting can be down in the area, but not without a licence and preferably with a guide.

The sea is safe and calm, with a gradually sloping bottom, protected from the wind, making it the ideal place for even small children to safely splash about in the water.
Museum of Nature and Science – Bourgas - Home to more than 1 200 exhibits of insects, reptiles, 140 species of fish and plants which grow in the area, this museum will have you enthralled for hours.
Sea Garden – Bourgas – The park is situated on a hill next to the coast and is filled with flowers, trees, sculptures, a small zoo and open-air theatre.
