The Bulgerian holiday resort Albena is situated approximately 30 km north of Varna, and is easily reached by road and sea transport. The holiday complex, featuring a modern, step-pyramid architecture consists of about 40 upmarket hotels, 3 holiday villages, retail outlets, sporting facilities and entertainment.
Attractions within the resort:
Tennis courts, swimming pools, golf playground, biking, horse riding, sailing, yachting, jet skiing, windsurfing, scuba-diving, spa centre (in Dubrudia hotel) and many other sport types.
Entertainment:
A diversity of entertainment facilities are available such as childrens amusement park, classic style restaurants, exotic Chinese and Indian cuisine spots, bars, discos, taverns and folk-style places, night clubs, and casino.
Attractions outside of the resort:
Balta / Baltata - the swamp-like semi-submerged forest to the south.
Obrochishte and Kranevo - the nearby villages with its well-preserved fortresses dating back to Ottoman and Roman times respectively.
Kranevo - also known for its mineral springs and the beautiful rocky formations along the coast to Albena. |

Although food and drink in Albena is believed to be the most expensive in Bulgeria, one certainly gets value for money when being presented with a delicious variety of the best that Bulgeria can offer. There are quality restaurants serving traditional Bulgarian cuisine, plenty alfresco restaurants and bistros offering from continental European to Indian and Chinese cuisine, also bars and intimate cafes along the resort's main thoroughfares and beside the beach.

| Albena has a seven kilometre beach which is part of the Black Sea coastline and faces east, offering beautiful sunrises and white outstretched sands for luxurious summer holidays.
