Jaco - Waves that ravage the cinnamon-coloured sands of Jaco make this a popular place for surfers worldwide.It has a surfing culture that the loacals have embraced. The mainly, young active crowd keep the economy going in this simple, but touristy town, which means that it is not so cheap.
Quepos - This is a well-trodden destination with locals and tourist alike, becuase of its proximity to Parque Nacional Manual Antonio.While the town once depended on banana crops, its main attractions are now the adventure trips to down raging rivers and wild mountain terrains.Quepos is a budget accomodation base to explore the surrounds.
Dominical - A surfer's paradise of chocolate-brown rocky beaches and reliable waves all year round. There is a close-knit community of those who have come on holiday and never left. Tree-canopied shores, mountainous backdrop and expansive beaches are the drawcards for Dominical, but it does have a strong American influence. |

Parque Nacional Manuel Antonio - Quepos.- While it is the smallest of Costa Rica's national parks, it holds the perfect combination of warm jade-green waves crashing onto the roots of a lush tropical forest. The four beaches share a calm surf, narrow shores and long white sand, which also makes it perfect for all swimmers.
