Diving - One of the best and most exciting reasons to visit Ambergris Caye, is that it is a world famous diving destination. There are many locay dive shops, which rent out full gear as well as offer trips to the reef and popular local diving spots.
San Pedro Lagoon - This is the largest lagoon on the island and can be accessed by means of a boat ride or a kayak. This is the perfect opportunity to view an exciting range of wildlife, such as lagoon crocodiles, raccoons and a wonderful selection of birds.
Sailing - This is generally done by means of sailing tours which can be arranged with the local tour guides. These trips usually last for the whole day and consists of a tour around Ambergris Caye. Visitors are also taken to the other nearby cayes such as Caye Chapel and Caye Caulker, where you can enjoy a hearty lunch or a BBQ. |

Elvi's Kitchen - The restaurant is situated across from the Martha's hotel. It is the perfect place to enjoy a menu which caters for a large selection of taste, consisting of everything from seafood to hamburgers and fries. All meals are accompanied by a delicious fruit drink.
Ruby's Cafe - Situated on Barrier Reef Drive. The best place in town to get a deliciously prepared home-made meal which consists of a variety of cakes, pies and sandwiches. Each meal is best accompanied by a cup of freshly brewed coffee.
Sweet Basil - Situated north of Boca Rio. This is one of the most popular cafe's in the area. They offer an outstanding selection of pasta's, salads and seafood, as well as a mouthwatering selection of Italian specialties. They have become famouse for having the best cheese selection in Belize. |

Sandals Bar - This is a very friendly and upbeat bar. The menu consists of a delicious selection of tasty ceviche and barbecue which is served in the evenings. This is a wonderful place to go to hang out with friends and locals whilst enjoying an ice cold drink.
Crazy Canuk Bar - Situated at the Exotic Caye Resort. This is a wonderful place to visit should you wish to enjoy an evening of fun-filled entertainment. The resident band is enough to get you to let your hair down and shake your booty.
Black and White Reggae Bar - This is the ultimate focal point of the islands Garífuna community. Everyone is so relaxed thanks to the enjoyable laid-back atmosphere. It is the perfect place to enjoy an evening filled with drumming and punta rock. |

Boca Del Rio Park - The park is situated on the southern side of San Pedro Town. It features a playground area for children, as well as a selection of lovely picnic spots. There is also a swimming area with slides in the shallow sandy waters.
Bacalar Chico National Park and Marine Preserve - This is one of Belize's newest preserves and can only be reached by sea. Guided tours can be arranged by means of local tour guides. The area also offers visitors spectacular diving opportunities. |
