Garden of the Groves – Located 11km east of Freeport, this will delight bird and floral lovers equally as paths snake through the gardens to reveal many surprises. A pleasant diversion from the hot beaches.
The Royal Oasis Casino – If you are game for a flutter or are even a serious gamer you’ll be in your element in this lavish casino. Play the slots or try your luck on the roulette wheel and the other tables.
Lucayan National Park – Stunning park a 40 km drive from Freetown, this 17ha park has walkways extending out to a chain of limestone caves where the natives of the island used to hide complete with bats and creepy crawlies. The mile long Gold Rock beach is contained within the park.
The BNT Rand Nature Centre – Close to Freeport (3km) is this 40ha reserve. Walk the nature trails to observe the and varied plant and bird life. The knowledgeable guides will help you identify the nature that will surround the visitor. |

Harbour Room – This restaurant/night club is located at Port Lucaya Marketplace in Freeport. Tasty local and European food is served in the evenings here, then stay to try and lose some of that weight on the lively dance floor.
Pier One – Try the Conch Chowder at this harbourside restaurant that enjoys great sea views, good service, and friendly staff even the food is good. If its not you can feed the sharks with it from the deck in the evenings.
Zorba’s Greek Cuisine – Located in the marketplace and brimming with all the favourite Greek treats surrounded by Mediterranean decor. Generous and well-cooked helpings and tasty desserts just like mamma made. |

Club 2000 – Go down to the marketplace for this night and feel at home where the locals and visitors mix freely. A laid back and friendly vibe here with the DJs playing all sorts.
Bahama Mama Bar – The bar/disco is located in Port Lucaya and going from 11pm till the early hours. Dancing of course to Reggae, Hip Hop and Techno and good selections of drinks at the bar.
Shenanigans Irish Pub – The only place in Freeport where you can get a pint of genuine Guinness and good old Irish grub, so if you are looking for a great time and are home sick go no further. |

The Perfume Factory – Why not take home a gift that will remind you of the scent of the islands. Good selection at this duty free shop.
Doris’s Dry Goods – One stop shop for gifts, island t-shirts, Swimsuits. They have a snack bar for burgers, hot dogs etc and also do car, moped and bike rental. Doris accepts credit cards as well.
Hot Sauce King – Why not shop with royalty at this specialist shop. Locally produced sauces, jams and jellies. Take home some Rum breakfast jam to remind you of that Caribbean holiday.
