Karon Circle - located on the north end of Karon it has a comemorative sculpture of workers in the tin-minning and agricultural industries.
The Kata view point - wonderful panoramic views of Kata Noi, Kata nad Karon beaches as well as the Andaman sea. Also called Khao Sam Haad or Three Beach Hill.
Phang Nga Bay and James Bond Island - take a boat out to the island where the Bond movie, The Man with the Golden Gun was filmed.

Karon Beach - the main strech of beach with a long, clean strech of white sand and plenty of facilities and activities.
Kata beach - divided into big and small coves that is less crowded than Karon beach and is great for the whole family.

Karon beach has lots of street side vendors selling traditional Thai silks, sarongs and handicraft. Prachanukhao road between Patong and Karon sells magnificent hand painted copies of original masterpieces by amongst others Picasso and Van Gogh at reasonable prices.
Origional artwork can be bought at the artist community and Asian arts and crafts at the Asian Arts Emporium in Patak road near the Islandia Park Hotel. |
