The Quinta do Salgueiro is located in the North-Eastern part of Portugal, next to the Spanish border and right in the middle of the Douro Natural Park.
The river Douro region, well known for its vineyards, is where the famous Port wine comes from.
The Quinta do Salgueiro is situated on the outskirts of the village of Freixo de Espada � Cinta birthplace of one of the biggest poets of Portuguese literature, Ab�lio Manuel Guerra Junqueiro (1850-1923).
In the Quinta do Salgueiro you will be welcome by Margarida Guerra Junqueiro, who established this tourism house after having made an international career in tourism.
This, recently restored, XIX century house provides a calm and comfortable setting, whilst enjoying the peace of the magnificent Tr�s os Montes region.
Surrounded by vines, olive and almond trees, Quinta Do Salgueiro offers you 7 rooms and 1 suite, all with air conditioning, private bathrooms and with direct access to the garden and swimming pool.
Two halls and a dining room complete the setting.

How to get to Quinta Do Salgueiro in Freixo De Espadada a Cinta:
From West and South:
The easiest way to get there is to take the motorway IP 5 and exit in Guarda and take Pinhel and later Freixo direction on EN 221.
Go through Freixo and then take Mogadouro direction.
Quinta do Salgueiro is on EN 221, 1.9 miles from Freixo.

Quinta do Salgueiro has 2 distinct buildings. The one which includes the owner�s private quarters, also has a suite and another room on the 1st floor. This one story high building has six rooms, all with direct access to the garden and to the swimming pool.
Both the suite and all the other rooms are very sunny and are decorated in an elegant country style. Each guest room has a private bathroom and air conditioning. These rooms are different in size and in d�cor.
The bed sizes are: doubles-160/200cm
twins-90/200cm.
All the bedrooms names were chosen after local plants, flowers and birds.
All are non smoking rooms.
