Guestbook: Elizabeth -
We had a wonderful time in Italy. We were most comfortable in our Villa. From the moment we arrived in Florence we felt welcome in this wonderful country. We want to express how happy we were with our comfortable accomodations and the proximity of Signa to Florence. We had reservations about not renting a car but we managed(with 3 children ages 8, 13, and 16) just fine-in fact it added to the relaxation as the trains were timely and we didn`t have to hassle with traffic, parking, etc. Walking to the market(s), restaurants, and shops made us feel like locals. In fact our second day in Signa we were stopped twice asked for directions!! The best part was that we were able to answer correctly!!!! Toscas` suggestions for dinner were wonderful. Elizabeth`s advice to take the Eurostar to Rome in lieu of the local train was appreciated. Our stay was as relaxing as we wanted (just swimming enjoying the local scene or could be as adventurous as
we wanted. The ability to get on a train and explore (for example ...Lucca) for the day was very convenient. The best of both worlds!

Dear Elizabeth,
Our family of four had a great time at Villa Tosca. It is close to the train so it`s easy to get around, and drivers for hire were available for tours. The cooking classes and the pool were the highlights! The air conditioning was essential for a good night`s sleep in the summer...a nice cool house was great! The house was clean, well-equipped, and the laundry room was convenient. Thanks so much for a great time!

Hello to Meaghan, Elizabeth, Lisa ,Muarizio, Tosca, Mario, and the youngsters!
We had a great two weeks! My son and his family stayed in Tosca II, and were very comfortable with their air conditioning and we were in Tosca I.
The cooking class was probably the highlight for me...great cooks and fabulous food!.
Blessings and many thanks to all.

Hi Elizabeth and Meagan!
Just wanted to send you a quick `hi` and to thank you for such a wonderful, wonderful vacation at the Farmhouse Agnola and Cottage Leonora. We LOVED the cooking classes so much and my family is in awe when I make homemade pasta and all the other recipes we acquired while we were with you. Please give a HUGE thank-you to Lisa and Maurizimo...they were fantastic and made our cooking experience a once in a lifetime event we will never forget. Until next time....Michele Nye

Thanks for all you did to help us with our rental arrangements. We were very glad we stayed at Farmhouse Agnola and Cottage Leonora. Of course, having Meagan and Elizabeth and on-site was a tremendous help as they gave advice and made arrangements for us at restaurants and museums. The accommodations were outstanding--esp. very clean, spacious and nicely furnished. The estate was beautiful, very relaxing and extremely convenient to the train station, the highways, stores, etc. Perhaps better screens on the windows would be helpful.
By the way, Mrs. Brogi was a joy to meet and talk with. She was so sweet to give us a present of fresh-picked grapes. Our advice to first-time travellers to Tuscany is to read up on the subject as much as you can beforehand. We had challenges in trying to get the rental car out of the parking lot!!!! We couldn`t figure out how to put it in reverse until we asked someone at the rental office. Also, we never did find out how to lock the car--it was locked if you pulled the handle once after locking it, but if you pulled a second time, it would open!! One amusing thing that happened was on our first trip to the Ipercoop.
We had no idea you had to make a monetary deposit on a shopping cart and we raised some Cain when we took what we thought was an unused cart in the store and were chased down by the lady who had made the deposit on it. Also, trying to figure out how to pay for parking in San Gimignano was a riot.
