Oatlands Brasserie - Guernsey - This restaurant is a hidden gem. The meals are superb and anyone loving good natural food should give the Surf and Turf a try. Succulent Steak cooked to your choice (really) and huge King Prawns. You may have to wait a while for a table during busy times, which shows how popular this place is. http://www.ghata.com/oatlands/ Restaurant part of the Oatlands Visitor Complex and not far from Guernsey Freesias which rounds of a day visiting the St Sampson's end of Guernsey nicely. There are bus/coach tours which take in Oatlands which can be booked from the Bus Terminal in St Peters Port for those who have not got a hire car or cycles. Recommend Oatlands and in particular this restaurant with no hesitation at all. Marks out of 10? 11 for the meal.

The Hollows - at Le Gouffre ten minutes drive from town brings you to The Hollows, high on cliffs overlooking the sea. Tread the boards of its antique wooden floors and savour the Mediterranean ambience and atmosphere subtly accentuated by crafted pots from Crete.
