New Forest situated between Bournemouth and Southampton this is an enormous forest, which is the biggest region of natural plant life remaining in England. It was named by William the Conqueror in 1079 and was used for hunting purposes by royalty for centuries.
The Bournemouth International Festival The music festival is held during the fortnight at the end of June and the beginning of July every year. It draws performers of every musical genre and is attended by huge numbers of fans.
Wimborne Minster - This ancient town is a few minutes drive away from Bournemouth. It is the home of the Minster of Saint Cuthberga. The church has enormous twin towers, which dominate the rest of the town. The church is full of memorials and some amazing design details. The Chained Library, which is above the choir vestry, dates from 1686 and is one of the oldest public libraries in the country.
Poole The town of Poole is situated west of Bournemouth and is an ancient seaport on an enormous harbour which is almost surrounded by land. The old quarter, which is by the quayside, contains many historic buildings, including the old Custom House, Scaplen's Court and Guildhall which are the most interesting. If you are interested in birds and wildlife take a trip to the National Trust property of Brownsea Island, which is famous for its red squirrels, birds and other wildlife.
Pier Point Sea Road, Boscombe. A fabulous restaurant and bar. The most glorious food and friendly staff. Really great atmosphere. Any breakfast is a must! Al fresco dining and contemporary restaurant.

Compton Acres - A35 Poole Road, towards Bournemouth. This lovely centre is the home of seven gardens, which each have a different international theme. They are all lovely but the Japanese Garden is a particularly serene place to relax in.

Elements - Firvale Road. This club plays host to a lively crowd who enjoy the mainstream club and house sounds that are played here.

The Goat and Tricycle, 2729 West Hill Road. If you like real ales and good home-made food served in a quiet, relaxed atmosphere, then this is the place for you.
Toko - 33-39 St Peter's Road. This friendly pub is popular with both locals and tourists.
