Blackpool Attractions

Top Attractions

Michael Wan's Mandarin - Opened in 1961, longest established Chinese restaurant in Blackpool. Great food and service every time without fail. I've been going there for over 10 years

Blackpool Pleasure Beach - At Blackpool Pleasure Beach there is just so much to do, and thats just in the pleasure beach, never mind everything else. As soon as you go in the pleasuse beach you will feel excited, some of the best rides. The big one, the Pepsi Max, you really do have to try it as it is the tallest rollercoaster in Britain. Also try the other rollercoasters they are fun for all the family, and if you prefer something more relaxed, then why dont you go and watch a show which are on all throughtout the day. Oh yeah, and you have got to go in the haunted house, it is spooky.

Blackpool Activities

Blackpool Zoo Park East Park Drive, set on 32 acres, and home to 400 animals, the zoo is always a good option for fractious and miserable kids to have a bit of their own kind of fun. Let the younger set learn about animals, watch them being fed, and pet some of them.

Sandcastle Waterworld Promenade, Blackpool, in this award winning attraction the temperature is a constant 84 degrees Fahrenheit making it a subtropical paradise where you can curl up on a sun-lounger, take a sauna, while your kids ride the Barracuda or Serpent water chutes. For the ankle-biters who are still too little to put on the death-defying rides, or toss into the Typhoon Lagoon, there is always the Sleepy Lagoon where they can splash happily in perfect safety.

Blackpool Pleasure Beach there is so much going on here that you could lose your children for a week without them complaining once. To name a few would be doing an injustice to others left out, so pack up the family and make for Blackpool where the fun just never stops.

Stanley Park West Park Drive, escape the frenetic frantic fun of the beach and take a deep breath in the Italian Gardens of Stanley Park, where stone statues gaze silently over peaceful lawns and fountains cascade softly. For family pleasure of a more energetic kind is available with tennis or pitch and putt, and there is a playground for the kids to do their thing in.

Blackpool Restaurants and Bars

Burger King Ocean Boulevard, take the weight of your feet and do a bit of carbo-loading with burgers and a mound of chips at one of the worlds most familiar fast food outlets.

Subway Sandwiches & Salads 20 Clifton Street, grab a couple of sandwiches that will fill and thrill your taste buds, or make up for the chips and grease from the earlier burger by ploughing through a healthy salad, at a good price.

Seniors Fish Bar & Restaurant - 106 Normoss Road, once you have sampled the seafood or fish served at this restaurant it will become clear why it is rated as Blackpool Tourism Awards 2001 number 1 restaurant.

Thors Plaice & Chips Blackpool Pleasure Beach, the British have got together with the Viking in a great alliance to produce the best fish and chips on the seven seas, and serve it in a long-ship dining room.

Blackpool Bars & Clubs

Flying Handbag 170-172 Talbot Road, the thing with gays is that they don't mind if you join in their fun, and they certainly do have fun at the Flying Handbag.

Boardwalk on the Central Promenade, this is a lively place with DJ's spinning out of control, and the crowd loving it. Good prices for drinks as well.

Crazy Scotts Bar Ltd - 9 Rigby Rd, this is a great place for a night of wild and wicked ways, very popular with the younger crowd, but all are welcome.

Devonshire Arms Devonshire Road, this is another excellent local that comes highly recommended by all who call in.
