Cikrikcilar Yokusu - Located near Ulus, this is not a haven for tourists and you are less likely to be hassled here. But you are still welcome to haggle with the owners over the traditional clothes and linens.
Bakircilar Carsisi - This is at the end of Cikrikcilar Yokusu and is more popular with visitors and as such they can't mistake the tourist. (The ones clean shaven) Great place to buy the gift for someone at home and try for best price. Just walk away if you are getting nowhere in negotiations. 9 times out of 10 you will be called back.
Gima - The department store in Kizilay. Basic goods at basic prices. You could come across a bargain or two here. It's a good halfway point while crossing the intersection between Gazi Kemal Bulvari and Ataturk Bulvari.
Ankara Hali - A permanent market up Hisarparki Caddesi towards the Citadel. Farmers come here with their produce. You can buy Fruit, vegetables, local cheeses, fresh fish and cuts of meat from the many butchers. Make up a picnic and sit in the park.
