Malmo Parks & Gardens
Slottsparken - The city is famous for it's green lungs and this charming city park contains the castle (The English translation is Castle Park) Plenty of woodland, water, benches, views, the town library and The Castle Mill is within it's grounds. The famous sculpture of Pegasus can also be seen.
Pildammsparken - This is the largest park in the city and is beautiful. An area of relaxation, long walks, colourful shows of flowers and exotic birds on the large lake. A weekend destination for families to feed the ducks and themselves on a picnic.
Kungsparken - Kings Park is the oldest in the city. It was a cemetery and they decided to make it a park in 1872. Landscaped in English style and charming to stroll its many paths.
Malmo Restaurants and Bars
Anno 1900 - Norra Bulltoftavagen 7, just out of town on the way to Arlov. This restaurant could easily be mistaken for a ordinary house in the suburbs and it's disguise does not fool the many satisfied customers. Serving traditional Swedish food and on summer days opens into the garden.
Natalie pa Pers Krog - Limhamnsv 2 , This very popular restaurant is located near the Castle. Specialising in grills and fondues using delicious ingredients. They do an a la carte, and go outside on nice days. A fine wine list and nice river views complete the picture.
Skeppsbron 2 - This gourmet restaurant is named after it's address and is centrally located opposite the station in the Borshus area.The creative menu makes for a dining adventure. Voted one of the best in town, with a long wine list and ever changing menu.
Bagels - Sodra Forstadsgatan 17, A great way to kick start your day is at this friendly cafe that makes Bagels with a variety of fillings. They also serve wraps, sandwiches and salads in a relaxed environment.
Malmo Bars & Clubs
Etage - Situated at the old square Stortorget downtown. This is the area that lives after dark and this disco with two dance floors is one of the always busy places. Lively DJs get the crowds up on the dance floor when they mix it up. You won't go thirsty either as there are four bars. One of the top venues in the city.
KB (Kulturbolaget) - This is the place for some thumping live music. The up and coming youngsters in Malmo society mix here. Situated in the lively area of Mollevangen and open much later than the pubs. As well as 3 bars, there is a French Restaurant.
The Bishops Arms - Yes you can't escape these English Pubs wherever you roam. This one though is different as it's located at Norra Vallgatan 62, near the station. Brilliant selection of draught beers (24) and 150 different Whiskey's. WARNING - Don't try them all, at least on one night.
Paddy's - Kalendegatan 7, Nobody does it better and Paddy has Guinness on tap and waiting for you to drink the bitter, black beverage through the creamy head. They serve meals and cigars to a mixture of locals and visitors. (Why don't the Swedes go around the world and open Swedish pubs?)
