Oviedo is famous for handbags and shoes. The best boutiques in town are found at the intersection of Uria and Gil de Jaz. Here you'll find a range of Spain's top designer boutiques, which sell the same designer goods that are sold at much higher prices in Madrid and Barcelona. El Raitan - Trascorrales 6. This is one of the best restaurants in Oviedo to go to if you're looking to sample some of the best regional dishes, accompanied by wines from the La Rioia. The restaurant is very popular with locals and tourists alike. The food is great, service excellent and the prices are reasonable.

Casa Fermin - Calle San Francisco 8. This is another great place to go for some of the best traditional regional cuisine, and it is a popular place for local families to have dinner. The most traditional dish on the menu is fabada asturiana, which is a bean dish with Asturian black pudding and Aviles ham.

Oviedo Bars & Clubs

Estilo Calle Pomarin. This is the best disco in town, and is very popular with a younger crowd of locals and tourists. This is the place to go if you're looking to let your hair down and party till the sun comes up. DJs play a range of all the hottest dance music to keep the party going.

Movie's Bar - In the centre of town. This is one of the best bars in town, and it is has been popular with a mixed crowd of locals for many years, tourists also frequent the bar in the summer. This is a great place to go and have some fun, while having a few drinks and meeting some new people.

Teatro Campoamor In the centre of town. This is the place to go for all culture buffs visiting the city. The teatro hosts a wide range of cultural events, including classical music concerts; operas; ballets and much more. Even if you're not a culture vulture, this is a great place for a lovely night out.
