Cala Pregonda - Off the beaten track, and a beautiful walk to get there. Take a picnic

Menorca Shopping

Spain is known for its excellent shopping, and the Balearic islands and Menorca are no exception. With a full range of the usual busy shopping malls, it also has small shops catering for tourists or specialist buying, in particular those on the beach front selling espadrilles, the traditional footwear of Menorca.

Menorca Markets - Held at weekly intervals, markets and their lively buzz are an exciting and important of life in Menorca. Popular with the locals as well as tourists, the stalls at these markets sell a range of products from clothes, jewellery and leather goods, to fruit and vegetables, as well as local arts and crafts. Knowing a good thing when they see it, some of the markets are held daily over the main tourist season.

Menorca Beaches

Son Bou - Menorca's longest beach has fine sand and quiet waters. It is the ultimate sun-worshipers place and packed with those who enjoy oiling themselves and giving in entirely to Sol's warm caress.

Els Canutells - Located at the eastern part of the bay, the Els Canutells beach is another of those perfect golden stretches of sand and sun that is perfect for swimming or lazing about catching a tan.

Cala Binisafuller - Set between Punta Prima and Cap d'En Font, Cala Bisisafuller beach is a favourite of the tourists from the nearby hotels. So if you are looking for a familiar face or language, it is probably your best bet.

Cala Binibeca - Wide and mostly undeveloped, this natural beach does have a car park and a restaurant close to it.

Punta Priman - The most southerly and the most popular of Menorca's beaches, Punta Prima offers some breathtaking panoramic views of the sea, sand and nearby rocky outcrops.

Casa Manolo - c/Marina 109, located on the south side of the harbour, this excellent restaurant serves seafood that is out of this world.

El Horno - c/Forn 12, located close to the northeast corner of Paca d'es Born, this basement restaurant brings a little bit of France to Menorca, with good food (obviously) and prices that won't spoil the whole experience. It is only open in the evenings, but worth the wait.

La Guitarra - c/Dolors 1, serving the finest Menorcan cuisine, this could easily be the best restaurant in town. Housed in an old cellar with stone walls it has a marvelous atmosphere, and its prices are not bank breaking.

La Payesa - c/Marina 65, serving everything from seafood to pizzas, this popular restaurant is a favourite with tourists and is child-friendly.
