Guadalajara Zoo - Paseo del Zoologico 600. This is another excellent place to take the children for some fun, while learning about animals. The zoo houses a wide range of animals from Mexico, the Americas and other places around the world. You can either take a wlak or tram ride through the zoo.

Los Itacates Restaurant - Chapultepec Norte 110. This is one of the most popular restaurants in town, and is frequented by locals and tourists alike. They serve a wide range of traditional Mexican food, including pozole, lomo adobado, and chiles rellenos; and Pollo Itacates. This is a great place to sample some of the local cuisine.

Mariscos Progreso - Progreso 80. This restaurant, on an open patio that is shaded by trees and tile roofs, is the place to go if you feel like having some of the best seafood in town. It is very popular with locals and tourists alike. The food is excellent and the prices are reasonable.

El Sacromonte - Pedro Moreno 1398. This restaurant is one of the best in town and it is popular with locals and tourists. They serve a wide range of Mexican food, including Queen Isabel's crown, a dish of shrimp woven together in the shape of a crown and covered in divine lobster-and-orange sauce; another speciality is quesadillas with rose petals in a deep-colored strawberry sauce.

La Feria - Corona 291. This bar is one of the best in town, and is very popular with locals and tourists alike. This is a great place to sit back, have a few drinks and make new friends, whether it be during the day or at night. At night there are a variety of shows held, including a mariachi band; a charro who performs rope tricks; folklorico dancers; comedy acts; and games involving the audience.

Bar Copenhagen 77 - Marcos Castellanos 140-Z. This is one of the best jazz venues in town, and is very popular with locals and tourists over the weekend. The excellent house band plays a mix of bebop and Latin jazz on weekends. This is a great place for a slightly more relaxed evening out on the town.

El Cubilete - Gral. Río Seco 9. This is one of the liveliest clubs in the Las Nueve Esquinas neighborhood. This is one of the best places to go if you're looking to party all night long. Son de Cuba, the house band, plays a mix of salsa and cumbia music to keep the party going.
