Albacete Travel Guide
Albacete Parks & Gardens
El parque Abelardo Sanchez - A favourite hangout for locals and tourists alike. Located in the centre of town and containing plenty of shady trees for those steamy days. Take a walk on the many paths to discover the rich plantlife. The park is also the home of a museum for the whole region.
Los Jardinillos - This is a well landscaped area in the heart of town. The venue for many of the live concerts in the city. The venue is used nearly every night in the summer and the variety ranges from classics, jazz to the top local pop bands.
Albacete Restaurants and Bars
Albacete Parador - Located just 3km from the town on the road to Almansa. This is a country hotel with a fine restaurant that serves traditional cuisine of the area. The owners and waiters are friendly and you are made to feel at home. The Castilla la Mancha wine is popular and cheap. Well worth the trip to this country estate.
Restaurante El Callejon - Guzmán El Bueno 18, Theres a special atmosphere in this old established favourite. Looks like a barn from the outside, but don't let looks decieve you because it looks like a barn inside. An upmarket barn I grant you. Well cooked food is strictly Manchega and locals flock here for their fix of gourmet local cooking.
Restaurante Nuestro Bar - Alcalde Conangla, 102. Enjoy a tour of Spanish cuisine at this popular restaurant. The extensive menu offers a taste of all areas and local Manchega cooking is well covered. The decor is basic and they have a large wine list. Tasty food and good value overall.
