General information

Madesimo doesn't have many non-ski attractions on offer, for some sightseeing your best bet would be to head off to Chiavenna. In Chiavenna there are a number of museums worth checking out, including the Museo Della Valchiavenna, which houses exhibitions on the history of the town and surrounding area; the Museu Di Piuro; and the Museo Tesoro della Cellegiata di San Lorenzo. For the more adventurous there is hang gliding and paragliding on offer.

Apres-ski

Madesimo is a very quiet and laid-back resort, and only has a handfull of bars and nightclubs that offer good party venues. There are a number of excellent restaurants, which offer a range of traditional and Italian cuisine Other activities on offer, include a sports centre; an ice rink; and walking trails through the surrounding landscape.

Overview

Madesimo is a small resort village in the Italian Alps, and is surrounded by some amazing scenery. Most of the runs here are best suited for intermediates, with only a few easy slopes for beginners. Experts have to do some searching in order to find some challenging runs, the best run is the Canalone piste. There is a specialist park for snow boarders, but this is also best suited for intermediates. Madesimo has a highly regarded ski school, and has some of the best instructors available. The village itself is small and beautiful, with a welcoming and laid-back atmosphere. The Apres Ski is quite limited, with most of the nightlife being hotel and restaurant based. This is a great place for a quiet skiing holiday.
