Overview
La Thuile is situated on the Italian and French border, and is the home of the St Bernard dogs. The village is at the top of the Aosta Valley, which means that the weather conditions can be variable with the high winds being problematic at times. La Thuile has runs for all levels of ability, beginners and intermediates have a number of goos pistes, although they will have to travel a bit to get to them. Experts have a good choice of black runs and off-pistes, as well as excellent heli-skiing. La Thuile is largely unknown outside of Italy, and is therefore usually uncrowded. The Apres Ski is very quiet, with a limited nightlife and non-ski activities on offer. This is a great place for family ski holidays.
