Kerry Bog Village - six separate cottages have been restored to reflect rural Irish life in days gone by. The village has interesting exhibits, photographs and displays a number of traditional tools. The village also has a breeding program for the rare Bog pony which up until recently was thought to be extinct.

Kennedy's Open Farm - this 75 acre working dairy farm has a large variety of animals that can be viewed and petted. Included in the entrance is a pony ride for all children and there is also a picnic area, indoor and outdoor playground.

Killarney Model Railway - a stunning 1000 square foot model railway system of 50 running trains which make their way past miniature European landscapes and sights such as Big Ben, the Swiss Alps, the Eiffel Tower and various Killarney sights. There are plenty of buttons to push that will keep kids happy for hours.

The Caragh - located at 106 New Street. An extremely popular family restaurant that serves delicious and filling Irish food. Some of their specialities include the succulent roast lamb, Irish stew, fresh pan fried trout and delicious pints of stout.

The Cooperage - located at Old Market Lane. One of the most interesting places to dine in Killarney, The Cooperage strracts a young fashion conscious crowd. The interior of the restaurant is stylish and modern and the menu is packed with mouthwatering contemporary dishes. Closed Sundays for lunch.

Gaby's Seafood Restaurant - located at 27 High Street. As the name suggests, this is one of Killarney's best seafood restaurants. Gaby's is very popular so bookings are strongly advised. The menu features delicious lobster and wild salmon dishes and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming.

The Bricin - located at 26 High Street. This lovely coffee shop serves great home cooked lunches and dinner that are great value for money. Specialities on the evening menu include steaks, chicken dishes and traditional Irish dishes.

Killarney Bars & Clubs

The Danny Man - located at New Street. A huge bar that is extremly popular with tourists that flock here to listen to traditional Irish music. The bar has a fun holiday atmosphere and the bands that play are loud and lively.

The Grand - located at Main Street. This bar has live nightly entertainment and tends to also be quite touristy. Between 9 and 11pm the bands play ballads and traditional music and after 11pm there is Celtic and rock music. Every Wednesday there is set dancing from 10pm to midnight.

O'Meara's - located at 12 High Street. Live music is performed here five nights a week in summer ranging from blues and rock to traditional. O'Meara's has a lively traditional atmosphere and tends to attract a young bohemian crowd.

The 98 - located at High Street. 98 hosts popular singer/songwriters sessions on Thursday and Friday evenings and on Sunday afternoons. The bar is fairly small but has a fresh modern interior and a nice vibe.
