General information

The village is pretty to wander around and there are some lovely gift shops like L'Edelweiss for a unique locally produced gift. For the more adventurous the area is popular for gliding and paragliding and 4x4 driving. Why not try the sport of Nathy Loisirs which is sort of motorised snowboards that you stand on (It's fun and safe). Walkers are well catered for with many scenic and wooded hiking trails connecting the nearby villages.

Apres-ski

The village enjoys a cinema that shows all the latest releases in the evenings. There are some good choices for fine classic French dining at both levels and at altitude, some have their own bars. Try Edouard's pub at 1600 for good times, great cocktails and friends to meet. Transboarder Cafe is always fun and there is live music on some nights.

Overview

Pra-Loup is situated in the southern part of Alpes de Haute Provence and is at 2 levels at 1500m and 1600m. The low altitude of the resort sometimes affects the snow cover at the end of the season, but with a huge number of slopes there is a good choice, with most suitable for the skier with some experience, and the skier sporting an L plate on his back. For the expert there is some good off piste skiing. The resort is popular amongst French families and offers good value, but can get busy with queuing in the height of the season. There is a good snowboard park, snowshoeing and skidoos. Pra-Loup has a laid back apres ski, but party animals will sniff out some fun nights and the restaurant choice is sufficient.
