Square Bir Hakeim - This park was established on the ancient moat of the ramparts and has been a real Green institution for 2 centuries. Recently, this park has been renovated targeting the restoration of an important ecologic heritage, real lung of the center of the city. This is a great place to relax and take a break from sightseeing.

Jardin exotique de la digue d'Ory - The breakwater of Ori was built in the 18th century above Joffre's bridge to protect Bas Vernet cultivation from the Tet's risings. In this park you can discover 280 different species of plants from all over the world. It's a great place to take a stroll in the afternoon.

Le Bistrot Gourmand - 40 rue de la Fusterie, in the heart of Perpignan's oldest neighbourhood. This informal and charming bistro serves excellent French cuisine and is very popular with locals, especially at lunch time. The food is delicious and the prices are very reasonable. Main courses range from $13.40 - $20.

La Villa Duflot - 109 ave. Victor Dalbiez. This restaurant avec chambres is the most tranquil oasis in the area. They serve a great range of local dishes and this is one of the best places in town to go sample the local cuisine. There is also an American bar on the premises. Main courses cost $20.65 - $25.50.

Cote Theatre - 7 rue du Theatre. This restaurant is housed in a stone building that was constructed in the 15th century. It attracts a quietly conservative crowd who dine under an elaborately crafted wooden ceiling. They serve a range of traditional, local cuisine. Main courses cost around $20.60 - $32.80.

Le Habana-Club - 5 rue Grande-des-Fabriques. This bar is a good place to start sampling the nightlife on offer in Perpignan. Here recorded salsa and merengue play against a backdrop of sunset-colored cocktails, it is popular with locals and tourists alike.

Uba-Club - 5 bd. Mercader. This is one of the most popular nightclubs in the town and is frequented by the young locals. There are some sofas and chairs, it has a modern decor and a smallish dance floor. It is a great place to mix with locals, while partying the whole night through.

Le Milord - 20 rue Jules-Verne. This is possibly the largest dance club in Perpignan and is frequented by a convivial crowd of persons ages 30 to 50, who gather on either of two floors for dancing, playing pool, flirting, and chatting.
