General information
Parents can rest assured that their children are well looked after in their own villages, so for a days rest from skiing there are a number of different choices. Walking is spectacular and well organised with marked paths. The kids will have fun on the 200m pistes for rubber ring tobogganing, parents can go too! Shopping is good and there are some quaint little traditional places to buy your gifts. Enjoy a coffee and delicious homemade cake in one of the patisseries. Wednesday is the day for a guided walk to the Notre Dame de la Vie Sanctuary, which is completed by a visit to the local church. This is a 3 hour tour. The gym and excellent health centre are both available to the visitor.

Apres-ski
After dark activities are very good and choice of eating ranges from the romantic tete a tete in a candlelit French restaurant with the mountains as your backdrop, to a quick take away pizza to line your stomach for a night of revelry The Maurice Romanet Hall hosts regular live concerts that are a mixed bag and mostly for free. The snow scooters are popular and fun in the evening. The cinema is always open and films are sometimes shown with subtitles.There are a huge array of bars, with some in hotels and restaurants, so if it's a quiet after ski drink with friends or a wild night filled with loud music, It's here!
Overview
Les Menuires is located fairly high up in the massive 3 valleys area and is a good bet for coverage all season long. The locals love the resort and return year after year. The ski area is extensive and terrain ranges from gentle slopes to challenging steep runs. The range of accommodation is huge as well with the shopping and apres ski being excellent. The village also boasts a sports centre, gym, swimming pool and ice rink. Snowboarders are not left out with a park of their own, halfpipes and boarding on all the pistes. Other snow sports include cross country, snowshoeing, telemark and skidoos. This is fantastic hiking country and there are many marked trails.

The Castle of the Dragon - This playground is located in Preyerand and the access is free. It is open to children from the age of 3 upwards, and offers fun slides and magical sculptures made in the snow. There are many fun things for the children to do for the whole day.
Snow Scooter for children - This secure circuit is located at the Reberty village, just out of Les Menuires. Children from the ages of 5 to 12 years old get taught how to ride snow scooters in a safe envirnment, by qualified instructors. This place promises a day of fun for all.
Les Menuires Parks & Gardens
Snow Parks - This outstanding snow park is equipped with a training area with raised bends; slides; quarters and pyramids; a boardercross; and a 110 meters long half-pipe. There are regular events held in the snow park. This is the place to go to have some fun in the snow.

La Perdrix Blanche - La Croisette at Galerie de l'Adret. This is one of the best restaurants in town werving local cuisine. It is popular with the locals and tourists alike, with its warm and friendly atmosphere. They serve a range of local excellent dishes at reasonable prices.
Le Chalet du Capricorne - Located in La Croisette. This is restaurant is the place to go if you're looking to spoil yourself with some supurb local cuisine. It is very popular with tourists and some of th older locals. The prices are a little above the average, but the excellent local dishes on offer are well worth the little extra.

Le Tilbury - Located in La Croisette. This is one of the best bars in town and is popular with both the locals and tourists. It is a great place to go to hang out, have a few drinks and meet some people. They serve a wide range of drinks and the prices are reasonable.
Jungle Boogie - Located in La Croisette. This is one of the best and most popular danceclubs in town. It is freaquented by a younger crowd of locals and tourists. They play all the latest dance music and this is the place to go if you're looking to party the whole night through.
Le Bar du Lou - Located in La Croisette. This bar is the place to go if you're looking for a bit more of a relaxed evening out. It is popular with the locals and tourists alike, the atmosphere is warm and friendly. They have a great selection of cocktails and the prices are reasonable.
