Apres-ski

The well named Glacier Bar is a friendly meeting place and well populated after a day on the slopes with people swapping horror stories. Edelweiss has some really tasty dishes and you will enjoy eating at Chaumine You will probably be too exhausted from the hard ski to go wild at night.

Overview

La Grave is located in the southern Alps on the peaks of the Grande Galaxie. Be put off by the name if you are not an experienced skier as this is extreme skiing at it's best. La Meije is the high mountain in the range and even if you are an expert skier, you should still use a guide at first as there are hidden dangers waiting to catch you out. This is for the serious skier. The village is small and quiet, but it boasts 16 restaurants on and off the mountain, a few shops and bars complete the picture. There is an ice rink and sauna/hot tubs to get your blood back into circulation.
