Flaine Ski Information
General information
Flaine has some good facilities, even though the architect should be shot!. There is a gym, sports centre, pool and ice rink for those days that you would prefer shoes to ski's. For the culture vulture there is a fine arts centre in the town housing some Picasso sculptures.The nearby village of Samoens is a more attractive town and is worth strolling around the pretty streets.

Apres-ski
There are 18 restaurants, 7 bars and a nightclub. You will enjoy the choice here and lovers of French country cuisine will find their taste buds are satisfied. Fast foodies are also catered for. The White Grouse pub is where the visitors congregate at night. For the all nighters there is the nightclub where the DJs get you on the dance floor till the last exhausted soul leaves.
Overview
Flaine is not the most beautiful resort in the Alps, but it's great snow and massive skiing area is dubbed "The White Desert" and is heart of the Grand Massif ski area, which is the largest in France. As the terrain is so varied there is a challenge for all levels and the lift systems have been greatly improved to lessen the queues. The 267km of piste links it with Samoens, Morillon and Les Carroz.Snowboarders are well looked after with 2 parks and half pipe.
