L'Enfance de Lard - This small intimate restaurant is on the first floor of a 12th century building, and overlooks the beautiful Place Pelissiere in the heart of old Bergerac. The food is superb and the service excellent. Everything is freshly made daily.The 2 owners trained under the Roux brothers in London. Booking is essential.

Aquapark Juniorland - Located on the Bergerac to Bordeaux road, this is one of the most popular places for children in the summer. There are many activities on offer here: four swimming pools with water chutes; beach volleyball; mountain biking; canoeing on the Dordogne; motor biking on small bikes and quads; bowling; and mini golf. Be sure to set atleast one day aside for the children to have an awsome time here.

Parc en Ciel - Located a slight drive from Bergerac, this adventure park is a great place to take the children. There is something for everyone, even if dad has too much energy and wants to test his abillities. You can also visit the themed gardens and the big animal park.

Blanche Hermione - Located at Place du Marche-Couvert. This is one of the best restaurants in the town, with its intimate and welcoming atmosphere. They serve a wide range of local and international dishes and have a good selecion of local wines, at very reasonable prices.

Le Terroir - 38 place Gambetta. This restaurant is one of the best in Bergerac and is very popular with the locals. With its leafy terrace it is a great place to go for dinner in the evening. They serve excellent local dishes at reasonable prices. Try the foie gras followed by the delicious magret de canard.

Le Plat dans l'Assiette - 18 rue du Mourrier. This restaurant furnished with antique stoves; barrels; dried flowers; and old teapots with stone walls covered by painting, is a great place to go for lunch. They serve a selection of light lunches on a plate: black pudding; cold meats; lentils; duck; sausages; salad; and potatoes.

Le Dalacos - 4 place du Docteur Cayla. This is one of the most popular bars in Bergerac and is frequented by the locals and tourists alike. Come in and have a few drinks, while mixing with the locals and fellow tourists. This is a good place to start sampling the nightlife of the town.

La Poissonnerie - 7 rue Colonel de Chadois. This is one of the top nightclubs in town and is popular with both the locals and tourists. Here you can listen to live Cuban music; jazz or blues three nights a week, this is a great place to dance and meet new people.

Le Windsor nightclub - Found at Route de Bordeaux. This is the place to go if you're looking to party the whole night through. With three floors that play all kinds of dance music, excellent lighting and a good range of affordable drinks, it is easy to see why this club is so popular.
