Bastian - 22-24 place de la Cathedrale, This antique shop will rival many a museum. In the heart of town near to Strasbourg Cathedral. There are many fine antique shops in the city and a bargain can be had, but the owners are knowledgeable.

Arts et Collections d'Alsace - 4 Place du Marche aux Poissons. Strasbourg's place for a unique regional gift. There is a great choice of ceramic from the past or modern decorative and functional ware. Wood, copper and glass items are also stocked here.

Arts et Collections d'Alsace - 1 rue des Tanneurs. This is Colmar's version of the same shop and if you are in this town you will find no better selection of antiques, collectables and gifts for the home.

Au Fer Rouge - 52 Grand Rue, Colmar. Known as one of the top restaurants in town. Expect a culinary adventure, expect first class dining, expect to pay the price. Great menu that the creative chef regularly changes. Come eat here with great expectations.

Brasserie de l'Ancienne Douane - 6 rue de la Douane. Located in the centre of Strasbourg. You can't miss this one as it's the largest in the city.Specialising in Alsatian cuisine. The menu is unique and some of the dishes are very tempting. You will have to postpone your diet as the Alsace food is rich and fatty with pork and goose being the favourites. Good value reigns here.

Au Crocodile - 10 rue de l'Outre, Also near the centre of Strasbourg is this exquisite restaurant. Plenty of natural light is coming from the skylights. The restaurant exceeds it's reputation as one of the top eating places in town. The menu will leave you salivating and choosing will be the biggest problem. Great wine list, but the prices are high.

Maison des Tetes - 19 rue des Tetes. This Colmar restaurant is located in the hotel with the same name. This stylish hotel boasts of this top class diner. Tasty French country cuisine is served in a friendly atmosphere.

La Fiesta/Le Cotton Club - Place de la Gare. Colmar's top nightclub is a multi levelled affair. La Fiesta is the ground floor Tapas bar and is always buzzing. The Cotton Club upstairs is a cocktail lounge and dance floor. Cool and sophisticated is the only way to describe the club.

Cafe des Anges - 5 rue Ste-Catherine. Strasbourg's underground dance club that is housed in a former wine cellar. Free entrance and a mixed playlist of music attracts a young and upmarket crowd. Upstairs is a well stocked bar.

Le Chalet - 376 route de Wantzenau, About 7km outside Strasbourg on the road to Wantzenau. This is one of the largest and busiest discos in the province. There are two distinct sections here, one for the headbangers and the other is less thumping more grinding.
