Zivogosce Travel Guide
Zivogosce Local History
Zivogosce is one of the oldest villages on the Makarska Riviera and it has been known under its present name since 1434. One of the historical landmarks is a local water spring that is carved in rock and is still the same as when used in Roman times. There are really old picturesque stone houses and an old stone tower at the foot of a nearby hill which date from antiquity.
Previously known as an agricultural and fishing area but since tourism has taken off this area has become popular due to the pristine coastline and wonderful weather .
