Seashell Museum - support the Fransciscan monastery by purchasing shell or coral jewellery as a souvenir
Vrulja - dare to go bare on this naturist beach set in a cove 15 km north of Makarska.
St. Peter - dont know what the saint would have thought of this- another beach with an area for naturists, situated on peninsula near Makarska Donja Luka- a 1,500-m long beach that reach a number of small sand coves
Makarska Restaurants and Bars
Riva - Obala Kralja Tomislava- Excellent value for money. Try the specialities, scampi or octopus, for lunch from 11am or supper, closing midnight.
Jez - Petra Kresimira- Savour typical Dalmatian fare and local wines, serving from 2pm to midnight.
Vrata Biokovae - something really different: a restaurant in a house of village tourism 15 miles away form Makarska. Try homemade Dalmatian smoked ham, accompanied by Biokovo cheese and the house special dish 'Biokovo pot'. Help the digestive system afterwards with their homemade herb liqueur made from 48 herbs.You will need to make reservations - and be prepared for the rustic..
