General information
The nearby town of Zurich offers an extensive range of activities and entertainment for those who wish to take a bit of a break from the skiing scene. The Botanischer Garten is a wonderful place to start off a day of sightseeing. The garden is home to more than 1500 living species and the herbarium houses a collection of three million plants. The Zurich Fine Arts Museum is an excellent place to few a collection of paintings and sculptures from the 18th and 19th century. There are also a couple of other museums and cathedrals to visit such as the Swiss National Museum, the Fraumunster cathedral and the Grossmunster cathedral.

Apres-ski
The Apre ski scene is pretty relaxed and laid-back, consisting mainly of a few bars and nightclubs, as well as a couple of shops and nice restaurants. There is however also a bowling alley and an ice rink, which is sure to keep both young and old amused. The resort is home to a sport and leisure center which is equipped with a large swimming pool and sauna facilities. For nature-lovers there is an extensive range of stunning walking trails, as well as paragliding facilities.

The St. Gallenkirch resort is situated in the beautiful Montafon Mountain range and offers a generous amount of skiing opportunities. Beginners will be slightly disappointed with the minimal skiing opportunities, as the total of 28 lifts and 30km of cross-country skiing caters predominantly for intermediates and experts. The resort caters well for snowboarders with a well equipped specialised boarding park and halfpipe .
