General information

Should you wish to take a break from skiing, you can visit the nearest town of Zell am Ziller. There is only a small selection of attractions which are worth a visit. These include the Parish Church, which features a large dome on the top of the octagonal design, dating back to 1782. Situated in front of the courthouse, you will find the Kaiserdenkmal. The monument was used to commemorated the visit of Emperor Franz I. The Knappensaule is another site which should definitely not missed. It consists of a statue of the Virgin Mary dating back to 1832. The statue is situated on the upper part of the Gerlos path and is used to thank the Virgin for protecting the gold mine and the miners. The Tierpark Hainzenberg is a wonderful place to visit to enjoy a day of fun-filled family entertainment. The zoo is home to a small collection of animals, such as fallow bucks, deer, chamoise, ibexes and a couple of other small zoo animals.

Apres-ski

The resort offers a very limited Apre Ski scene, which consists predominantly of a couple of nice restaurants and a few bars. The resort is however also equipped with a sports center and ice rink, which offers loads of entertainment for the entire family. For nature-lovers there are magnificent walking and hiking trails available, as well as paragliding and handgliding facilities.

Overview

The Kramsach ski resort is situated amongst the magnificent beauty of the Zillertaler Alps. The resort offers a total of 2 slopes, 8 lifts and 17km of cross-country skiing, which are predominantly favoured by intermediates. The resort also caters for snowboarders with a well equipped specialised boarding park. The Apre ski scene is very laid-back and offers only a limited amount of non-skiing activities. It consists mainly of a few bars and a couple of nice restaurants. There are also beautiful walking trails available for nature-lovers, as well as hand gliding and paragliding facilities.
