General information
If you wish to take a break from skiing, you can take a trip to the nearest town of Altenmarkt. The town has a couple of interesting attractions to offer, such as The Pilgrimage Church at the Hafnerberg. The church features a beautiful medieval cloister which was built in 1653. Other sites which are definitely worth while to visit is the church of St Pancraz and the stone waiter yard.

Apres-ski
The Apre Ski scene is pretty relaxed and offers only 4 nightclubs, a couple of bars and a few nice restaurants. The resort is equipped with a sports and leisure center and a stunning large indoor swimming pool. For the more adventurous, there are also paragliding facilities available.

The Flachau ski resort is centered in the beautiful cathedral town of St Johann im Pongau. It offers visitors a total amount of 160km of cross country skiing. The resort features a total amount of 55 ski slopes, which cater mainly for the intermediate level skier. The resort also does an excellent job with catering for snow boarders as it features a well equipped boarding park. The Apre Ski scene is pretty relaxed, offering only a handful of clubs, a couple of bars and a few nice restaurants.
